I am a modeller. I live in Poland and fly mainly DLG models (F3K).
Polish F3K pilots submitted a proposal of organizing a CONTEST F3K comp in Korne (near Gdansk), Poland (you can check the location on this website -link- ) in 2007to CONTEST organizers. Unfortunately the proposal was initially turned down due to the location of Korne. We are still discussing this with CONTEST managers which are afraid, that if a comp. will be held in Korne then we (Polish pilots) will fly "alone" that is there will be no pilots from other countries. So, now we are polling F3K pilots from "neighbouring" countires potentialy interested in coming for a comp to Korne. Initially we planned to held the comp on 9-10 of June (but we are quite flexible on that and can shift the comp to other weekend in June).
The final question is: will some of the F3K pilots from Latvia come to Korne in June 2007 if a CONTEST F3K comp. will be held there ? If so, how many of you? I can assure you that you will get all the help from us to get there, sleep well, eat well and have a good flying . We are also working hard on geting sponsors for some nice prize
The other, also important, question is: are you planning to take part in other CONTEST EUROTOUR F3K competitions in 2007 ?

Sergey, I know it is not so close, but the organizers of CONTEST EUROTOUR sugested that next year we propose some place more to the south and west of Poland which would be even farther. One of our hopes when we were chosing Korne as a place for a comp was, that it will attract some people from coutries east of Poland. It is also relatively close to Sweden and while I was in Laucha Swedish guys expressed some interest in coming to a comp in Korne. Radek Radek

Yes. At the moment 9-10 of june is the planned date for the comp. But if for example you wil tell us that you have other very important competition and would come if we moved the comp to the next weekend, then we will try to arrange the date so that as many people as possible could come. Radek
Important news! The managers of the CONTEST Eurotour F3K 2007 finally agreed to include F3K competition in Korne into the CONTEST Eurotour F3K 2007! The date had to be changed to 23-24.06.2007. The managers said it is going to be a test if Korne is a good place to attract enough pilots from different nations that will take part in at least 3 CONTEST Eurotour competitons.
Hello Radek! There is one problem. Yesterday we put our FAI F3K open tour in calendar at the same date. May be you can go to our comps? All documents today goes to FAI and we cannot change this. Sorry.
Damn. Such a bad luck! Couldn't you move your competiton one week ? We only got this one possible date in June from the CONTEST Eurotour managers so we didn't have any choice - either we accept it or not. I suppose it would be more difficult to obtain some other date in June (we can only organize the comp in June, due to the agreement with the airfield owner and weather constraints) because there are probably other Eurotour competitions planned for other June weekends.
About coming to you for ac comp.If you only had a CONTEST Eurotour comp - then why not. In 2007 a few of us here in Poland wants to attend at least 3 Eurotour F3K comps and we wil probably travel together. Btw. where exactly will be that competition ? Riga ? Radek Radek
The next year comp we plan exactly EUROTUR Ok, it is not to late, we changed our comp date to 10.06. I think we will come to Korne, but you, guys must promise to come to our comps in 2008!

So.. It is good, that had't time to send. Date have changed for June, 9-10th. 9 - F3K, 10 - F3J. Competitions will be in beautiful, ancient city Cesis. 80 km from Riga. Not far from a field there are an ancient castle and lake with a beach. Come to us, and we with pleasure come to you.
